OXO On Barista Brain 9-Cup Coffee Maker
This is a simple, easy-to-use, and processor-controlled coffee maker by OXO. It has only one dial that you can use to set the number of cups you want, and to schedule its wake-up time. You will love it, especially if you don’t like complicated machines with numerous dials.
In terms of capacity, it can make 9 cups at once. This is nice especially if you are a coffee addict or you live with a partner who also likes coffee.
The machine’s processor is programmed to deliver the perfect cup of coffee via the precise regulation of time and temperature. This is something I appreciate because not many modern coffee machines make coffee that tastes as it used to before.
Despite this machine’s great features, durability is an issue. Some features have been reported to stop working after barely eight months of use. However, many users generally have no problem with OXO On Barista Coffee Makers.
Cuisinart CPO-850 Pour Over Coffee Maker
The Cuisinart CPO-850 Pour Over Coffee Maker is my favorite coffee maker because it is extremely customizable.
First of all, it allows me to choose the flavor I want (bold, medium, or mild). So if it is early in the morning and I want to wake up my senses I usually set the bold flavor. This flavor is at often at par with what my favorite barista makes at my local coffee bar. The medium flavor usually works nicely for a late afternoon energy boost.
Besides its flavor-strength control feature, this 8-cup coffee maker also has a temperature control feature. You can set it to make your coffee hot or extra hot.
You can also schedule it to automatically turn on or off, or even to clean itself.
Its multiple customizable features are complemented by its premium and durable construction.
Although it is an otherwise decent coffee maker, I do not like that it is a tad bigger than it needs to be. It takes a lot of space on my tiny counter. One more thing, its pot does not keep the coffee hot for very long.
Breville BDC450 Precision Brewer Coffee Maker
The Breville BDC450 Precision Brewer is in our list of the best SCAA coffee makers courtesy of its innovative features.
This precision brewer is preset using the best temperature and time brewing standards. It will brew a gold standard cup of coffee almost every single time you use it.
The appliance is also fairly customizable. There are five general brewing modes that produce different flavors, and an additional mode that allows you to tweak the time, temperature and flow rate settings for a uniquely tasting pot of coffee. These features make it perfect for playing barista at home.
Moreover, the Breville BDC450 can brew a full carafe in under ten minutes. This is pretty fast and great for those who usually have very little time to prepare for work in the morning.
The only negative thing about this coffee maker is that it requires frequent descaling to continue working optimally after a couple of months of use.
Technivorm Moccamaster 59616 KBG Coffee Brewer
Although a bit pricey, the Technivorm Moccamaster 59616 Coffee Brewer is one of the best-rated coffee makers available in the US market.
One of its most unique features is its brewing time. The Technivorm Moccamaster can brew ten cups of coffee in under six minutes. Impressive, right?
The coffee is brewed using a unique heating process that ensures efficient extraction of coffee for a full carafe of flavorful coffee. For this reason, you can expect the same strong coffee flavor from the very first sip you take from the first cup to the very last drop in the last cup.
The carafe is made of a special glass to maintain the taste and flavor of the coffee. It sits on a separate hot plate that maintains the high temperature of the brewed coffee for more than one and a half hours before shutting off automatically.
Its brew basket automatically stops dripping when you remove the carafe, helping prevent spillage.
To show you just how good this is, its manufacturer has a five-year warranty on it. This signals that it will very likely be worth every cent you will spend on it if you buy it.
But there are two drawbacks to getting this device. First, it is expensive as stated earlier. Secondly, it takes some time to get used to operating it.
Cuisinart DCC-3400 Stainless Steel Coffee Maker
You like your coffee extra hot? If yes, the Cuisinart DCC-3400 Stainless Steel Coffee Maker is probably the machine you should go for.
This simple-looking appliance is fitted with advanced coffee brewing technologies that can brew 12 cups of rich and extra hot coffee.
The unique thing about this coffee maker is that it has a brew-strength control feature; you can set it to make mild, medium or bold hot coffee.
You can also set it to start brewing coffee before you wake up. I used to like this feature when this was my primary coffee maker because it used to save me time in the morning.
The Cuisinart DCC-3400 has, however, been faulted for its design that makes it difficult to fill the reservoir without spilling water.
As you can see, our list of the best SCAA certified coffee makers has got some pretty amazing coffee brewers. The clear winner among this products is the Cuisinart CPO-850 Pour Over Coffee Maker. It is the best because it meets all the rigorous standards set by the SCAA. This means it can consistently brew the gold-standard flavor cup of coffee making it perfect for those who love original-tasting coffee. We also recommend it because of its superior and aesthetically pleasing design, its flavor-strength control feature, its auto-on feature, and its affordable price.
